Many men choose to remain on TRT indefinitely because it effectively addresses symptoms of low testosterone, such as fatigue, low libido, and reduced muscle mass. Stopping treatment may result in a return of these symptoms. 

If you stop TRT, your natural testosterone production may remain suppressed for some time, especially if the therapy was prolonged. Recovery varies based on age, overall health, and the duration of TRT. 

The Answer is no, you do not have to stay on TRT forever! IF a patient does want to stop, we ask to give us at least a months heads up prior to wanting to stop and our medication team will take the correct steps to bring down your levels gradually instead of cutting cold turkey!

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) can suppress the body’s natural production of testosterone and sperm, which may impact fertility. However, it is possible to maintain or restore fertility while on TRT with proper medical management. 

1. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG):
   • What it Does: HCG mimics LH, stimulating the testes to produce natural testosterone and maintain sperm production.
   • How It's Used: Often combined with TRT to counteract its suppressive effects on fertility.
   • Benefits: Can help preserve testicular size and function while on TRT.

1. Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid):
   • What it Does: Clomid blocks estrogen receptors in the brain, stimulating the pituitary gland to release more FSH and LH, which promotes natural testosterone and sperm production.
   • How It's Used: Sometimes used as an alternative to TRT or alongside TRT in fertility-focused cases.
   • Benefits: Preserves natural hormone production without suppressing sperm count.
